7. Describe how to write limit notation for vertical asymptotes and what the notation means.
For example lets say we have the equation 2/(x+1)(x-2). To get the Vertical asymptotes first you have to get the bottom and set it to zero. For this one the vertical asymptotes are -1, 2. So the limited notation is:
As x → -1-f(x) → ∞

As x → -1 +f(x) → -∞

As x → 2 -f(x) → -∞

As x → 2 +f(x) → ∞ 
On the graph below you can see that the left of -1 is going to positive infinity. The right of -1 is going to negative infinity. To the left of 2 is going to negative infinity. And the right of 2 is going to positive infinity.
