Unit G Summary Question #6 Holes

6. How do we find the appropriate place to plot a hole if the y-value is undefined when plugged into the original equation?

First to get a hole something must from the top and bottom of the factor equation. Then get what was canceled and sent it to zero. Get that number and plug it in to the reduced equation and simplify. The hole is what you plug in is the x and what was simplified is the y.
